After a continuous rant of eleven weeks, I think it is a good time to summarize my journey so far. Please note everyone has a different journey and there is no one size fits all. There is merit in understanding and applying the systems, processes, best practices and adopting or adapting them according to your situation, but everything will be obvious in hindsight or to cite the legendary Steve Jobs
“Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
I would like to summarize what we have covered in two stages consisting of four phases
At the end of these two stages, you should have enough data points to arrive at a decision point on where you would take the giant leap of faith, persevere for some more time or pivot.
Also I would have to say that above all of this your personal conviction matters a lot.
If you have to remember just one thing, it would be this. “Please answer the below question”
Who is my paying customer ?
Over the past twelve weeks I have shared my journey of entrepreneurship and AMUZ . I do not know if it helped you in any way one bit, but when I was writing about it, I could understand more of my own self.
I do know this.
It is too early for me to disqualify myself from the entrepreneurship journey. So, I am going to stay put like the rock of Gibraltar.
AMUZ will take off in some way by someone. W-IFE is here to arrive and stay. It is going to take its time, but it is not something that is going to be side-stepped.
Despite what everyone says, the best balanced thing about entrepreneurship I have heard in a podcast is “Entrepreneurship is like entering into a black hole. The only saving grace is it is a bottomless pit”
Next week shall be a compilation of the best practices of the things that we have covered so far. It will have nothing original.
From Week 15, we shall cover
- Components of a Business Case
- Bottom up Market Sizing
- Pitch Deck Preparation
- Forming Founding Teams
- Financial Planning
- External Money V/S Bootstrapping
